Hi all you rockers! I used to be able to pick Z-Rock up from Portland, Maine back in the early 90s… I live in Canada and we never had a rock station in our city until a few years ago, so Z-Rock was my saviour (although I could only get at after 9 pm or so… ) Anyway, does anyone have a copy of any of the Z-ROCK 1000 lists… I can’t find any of them on the Net… Thanks! Awesome! Great site BTW – said notoriusbug on Nov 11, 2003
Z-rock 1000 was a year end wrap up program with a count down of the greatest hardrock/metal songs of all time.I have lists from early 90s programs. It would be interesting to see how a 2003 zrock 1000 list if Z-rock still existed would look compared to alist of old, would the Ratt and scorpion all time greatest be replaced by Limp bizkit on the list. 😉 ZZZrich – said zzzrich on Nov 11, 2003
That would be interesting… I think those acts stand the test of time and are becoming classics (old Guns N Roses, Ratt, Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, Scorpions, old Def Leppard, etc.) Anyone with electronic formats of any old Z-Rock 1000s (or any year-end countdowns from Z-Rock), please send me an email. I still love all the old bands mentioned above, but also love Nirvana, AlC, PJ, Soundgarden, STP, NIN, Green Day, Puddle of Mudd, Metallica, RHCP, etc. – said notoriusbug on Nov 11, 2003

Thought I’d bring this to the top of the thread… a few people said they had copies of old countdowns… any luck finding them? I’d love to get copies from 1989-1992 – said notoriusbug on Apr 04, 2005
Anybody? Z-Rock 1000 lists? 😯 – said notoriusbug on Jun 06, 2005
Okay, I know they’re not a REAL band but I was just thinking about the movie Rock Star. My fave scene is when Chris is being fired from Blood Pollution, he says This is MY mikestand. I’m TAKING it !!! Great line. The fact that he’s on the verge of tears adds to the moment. – said DavidJ on Jun 06, 2005

Was there a Z-Rock 1000 in 1996 or did they just sign off without doing one? 8) – said beavis989 on Mar 03, 2006
Was there a Z-Rock 1000 in 1996 or did they just sign off without doing one? 8) As far as I know, they didn’t do one for 96. Z signed off for good in December of that year and since the writing was already on the wall i don’t think they were too concerned with the Z1000 at that point. Of course, that’s just my opinion. I could be wrong – said CrazyMikePaine on Mar 03, 2006
Where do I see other year’s top 1000 logs on this site? Also, I have about half of the 1989 list. Do you want it? – said evlgnus1 on Jun 06, 2006
