Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) will be puttin on the dog for ARF’s Stars to the Rescue XVII gala. Please join host Tony La Russa, manager of the 2006 World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals, the weekend of January 4-5, 2008 at Lesher Center for the Arts in Walnut Creek for ARF’s 17th annual fundraiser.
The Stars weekend begins Friday, January 4 at 7:30 p.m. with ARF Rocks! Musical legend Vince Neil from Motley Crue, along with Marty Casey & Lovehammers from Rock Star: INXS, Z02, and the Bay Area’s own, Fyre Away will perform at this rock n roll evening.
On Saturday, January 5 at 7 p.m. Title Sponsor Purina ONE, along with Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., Chevron, Roger and Judy Haughton, ASPCA, K.H. Hofmann Foundation, Maddie’s Fund, The Men’s Wearhouse, Otis Spunkmeyer, Inc., Bill and Nancy Thompson, The PMI Foundation, Newman Lasik Centers, Dynamic Office & Accounting Solutions and others, present Stars to the Rescue XVII. Stars will showcase Kevin Cronin and Dave Amato from REO Speedwagon fame, Grammy nominee, Paula Cole, comedian Rob Schneider, Craig Chaquico from Starship fame, Aja Vu featuring the music of Steely Dan, and Moving Arts Dance.

Funds raised from this fantastic fundraiser will be used by ARF to save the lives of loving dogs and cats who have run out of time at public shelters. ARF gives another chance at life to dogs and cats who otherwise would have been killed. ARF provides the care and attention they need, including spay or neuter surgery, until ARF finds them a new home of their own.
ARF’s People Connect programs strengthen the human animal bond for the elderly; residents of assisted living centers, teens at juvenile hall, high school students, grade school students and young children through programs that are national models of excellence. ARF programs allow people to experience the unconditional love and acceptance of dogs and cats. People rescuing animals … animals rescuing people…
