Oh great, another sloppy grindcore band, or so word is on the streets about this band. However, after one listen to this album, this is far from being sloppy or atypical of grindcore. This band actually write good and heavy (yet extremely coherent) catchy songs. There are 6 songs overall on this CD, and the first 2 tracks Revolver and Carbon Copy Killer start the EP off with a schizophrenic, yet focused, musical approach. Track 3 is where this CD becomes interesting. This song is a drum and bass song, with a few guitar splashes, called Sell Yourself! We saw you sell yourself / We saw you let go are the only 2 lines to this song, yet they are very simple and effective! Track 4 Erotic Antibiotic definitely brings the bands music to razor sharp precision, with lyrics that attacking America’s superficial need for instant sexual gratification. Track 5 Something To lust About brings the fury of the CD to a boiling point, with all the instruments in perfect schizophrenic harmony. Such lyrics are as follows Let me seduce you / Let me reduce you / I am the savior of Rock N Roll / I will take you where you need to go / Let me smell your longing / Let me make you nothing Track 6 Suicide King is another mostly drum and bass song, with some minor guitar splashes that bring the EP to a creepy close. The album artwork is abstract, but very basic. After all, it is only the band’s first EP! Extremely good for only being an EP! Pick this EP up as soon as possible, because this is a limited edition EP, and will probably not stay in print long. This is the strange calm before the storm… … and I love it!
