Metallica’s For Whome The Bell Toll, featuring a searing into by Cliff Burton, was filemed live on August 31, 1985 at Day On The Green in Oakland, CA. Written by James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, and Cliff Burton, For Whom The Bell Tolls was inspired Enest Hemingway’s 1940 novel.
Cliff Burton died September 27, 1986 in a bus accident on the Masters of Puppets Tour in Sweden. RIP Cliff.
