Rock and Roll Hall of Fame vocalist Colin Blunstone, the iconic voice behind The Zombies, is set to return to the US for a series of solo performances this week. This marks his first solo tour in the States since The Zombies’ touring came to an unfortunate and unexpected halt earlier this year. The Zombies’ founder, Rod Argent, suffered a stroke, pausing their remarkable resurgence (ZRock wishes him well on his recovery).

Blunstone’s US dates kicked off with a performance on the “Rock Legends Cruise VII” that departed from Miami on February 13, 2025. This star-studded cruise, benefiting the Native American Heritage Association, features an impressive lineup including Alice Cooper, Styx, and Blackberry Smoke. Following the cruise, Blunstone will team up with folk-rock legend Al Stewart for a string of theater shows in Arizona and California, starting in Phoenix on February 21, 2025 and Tucson on February 22.. After these US dates, Blunstone will head to Germany and the Netherlands for shows in April and return to the US in August for the “On The Blue” cruise from Boston to the Canadian Maritimes, joining Justin Hayward, Dave Mason, and Alan Parsons.
Blunstone’s touring band for these US shows is a veritable “all-star” ensemble. He’ll be joined by two of his Zombies bandmates: Steve Rodford on drums and Søren Koch, who will be switching from bass to lead guitar. Rounding out the lineup are two former members of the progressive rock band Strawbs: Chas Cronk on bass and Dave Bainbridge on keyboards.
While these performances will showcase Blunstone’s extensive six-decade solo career, fans can rest assured that he will still be performing Zombies classics. “People want to hear them, and I enjoy playing them,” Blunstone explains.
Blunstone’s voice is undeniably one of the most recognizable in rock music. Whether you were captivated by The Zombies’ 1960s hits “She’s Not There” and “Time of the Season,” swayed by “This Will Be Our Year,” or moved by his performance on the Alan Parsons Project’s “Old and Wise,” his voice has left an indelible mark on music history. His influence spans generations of singers, from Jeff Buckley to Harry Styles, who have praised the unique quality and emotion in his vocals.
Blunstone’s solo journey began in 1971 with the release of One Year, produced by Rod Argent and Chris White. The album featured the UK hit single “Say You Don’t Mind.” He went on to release several more acclaimed albums, including collaborations with the Alan Parsons Project.
In 1999, Blunstone reunited with Rod Argent, leading to a successful 25-year run with The Zombies, culminating in their 2019 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. Even during this busy period, Blunstone continued to nurture his solo career, releasing 12 solo albums, including the recent EP Less Is More (2024), a stripped-down acoustic collection. He is currently working on a new solo album, slated for release in April 2026.
